So, picture this. I’m sitting here, staring at the replay of last night’s game. Warriors versus Rockets — sounds like a big hoopla, right? And, oh man, it kinda was. The Warriors snagged a win, 109-106, which puts them ahead, 3-1 in the series. Quite the nail-biter. I was biting mine, anyway.
Let’s talk Jimmy Butler for a sec. The dude was something else. He’s banged up — I mean, really, bruised pelvis and everything — but still, he was all over the court. First half, he was chillin’ with just four points. I was like, “Come on, Jimmy, wake up!” But then, bam, he drops 23 more in the second half like he just remembered he’s, well, Jimmy Butler.
With just 10 seconds left on the clock and the Warriors barely hanging in there by a thread, boom! Alperen Şengün blows a crucial shot, and Butler jumps like he’s sprouted wings, snatches the rebound, and gets fouled. No pressure, right? Nah, he just sinks two from the line, ice cold, and seals the game. Fred Van Vleet tried a last-second Hail Mary, but nope, not happening.
Brandin Podziemski, let me tell you. This guy is coming out of nowhere. He’s got this swagger, and I can’t figure it out. Irrational confidence, as Draymond Green calls it. He’s having the night of his young career. The guy nails 26 points, looking like he’s been doing this for a decade.
The Rockets, though, yeesh. Free throws — they’re like that awkward cousin at a family reunion. You can’t avoid ’em, but you really wish they’d disappear. They missed a ton, in classic Rockets fashion. Jalen Green had a rough night, turning over the ball like it was a hot potato. Not his finest hour, honestly.
Coach Ime Udoka of the Rockets decided to mess around with the lineup — throwing in bigger guys, trying to throw the Warriors off balance. It sorta worked… until it didn’t. Steven Adams played a ton, and they tried to rule the paint, but every time you thought they’d pull away, the Warriors clawed back, mostly thanks to Podziemski and Buddy Hield sinking threes like it’s just another Tuesday.
Now the Rockets are headed home, cornered like a cat about to get a bath, hoping to drag this out. Kerr, the Warriors coach, seems to have the Midas touch with his lineup shuffles. Meanwhile, the Warriors are eyeing a break, maybe get a breather before the next round. Let’s see what happens next, right?
