The Golden State Warriors have brought Kevin Knox II on board with a new contract. Just earlier this year, Knox had a couple of short stints with the team; he first signed a 10-day deal on February 19, followed by another on March 1.
At 25, Knox has managed to make his presence felt in the seven games he’s played for Golden State this season, averaging 4.0 points and 1.6 rebounds over 7.3 minutes on the court. This versatile 6’7” forward has also made a significant impact with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League, starting in all 28 games he’s played. His stats are impressive, boasting averages of 21.8 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in about 32.6 minutes per game. Notably, Knox grabbed the spotlight as the NBA G League Player of the Week during the season’s opening stretch from December 27 to January 5.
Initially picked ninth overall by the New York Knicks in the 2018 NBA Draft, Kevin Knox II has accumulated a solid career over seven seasons. He’s played in 313 games, including 77 as starts, wearing jerseys for the Knicks, Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons, Portland Trail Blazers, and the Warriors. His career averages stand at 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 17.8 minutes per game.
