A former two-division UFC champion recently disclosed some significant news during a chat with Donald Trump. The champion is considering hanging up his gloves for good.
Joining the elite ranks of those who have held world titles in more than one weight class is no small feat, and Henry Cejudo is part of that prestigious club. However, it seems that Cejudo’s days in competitive fighting might be numbered.
Cejudo, who was present with Donald Trump at the NCAA Wrestling Championships last weekend, discussed his latest injury and what might come next in his fighting career. Although he made a comeback to the UFC hoping to reclaim the championship, it appears that ‘Triple C’ is ready to let that dream go.
“I’m feeling great, Mr. President,” Cejudo mentioned to Trump, referring to his eye injury. “I think I’ve got one more fight left in me, and that’ll be it.”
Cejudo’s support for Trump has been a consistent thread throughout the years, and that admiration is mutual. He ranks among Trump’s favorite fighters, alongside notable names like Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Not long after his meeting with Trump, Cejudo took to social media to express his thoughts.
“It was amazing to catch up with President Donald Trump at the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships,” he shared. “I can truly say my reality tops my dream! [Make America Great Again].”
Henry Cejudo is still a force in the UFC bantamweight division, sitting comfortably inside the top 10. With a few more victories, he could very well find himself competing for the championship once more.
In 2020, after a decisive win over Dominick Cruz, Cejudo initially retired, only to make a return three years later at UFC 288. Since stepping back into the octagon, though, he’s been on a tough streak, with three consecutive losses. Despite the recent setbacks, Cejudo’s legacy as an Olympic gold medalist and one of the most exceptional talents in combat sports history remains unparalleled.
