Jaden Rashada, previously a quarterback for both the Georgia Bulldogs and Arizona State, is once again navigating the NCAA transfer portal. This marks the second time in his collegiate journey that he’s exploring new opportunities. Though he didn’t secure a spot with a team during the winter transfer period, ESPN’s Pete Thamel has revealed that Rashada is set to visit Western Kentucky officially this week.
Rashada, who was once a highly sought-after four-star recruit, has experienced a college career filled with transitions and new beginnings. His path began with an initial commitment to Florida, but he eventually found his way to Arizona State. There, he appeared in four games during the 2023 season before making another move to Georgia in the spring of 2024. Despite joining the Bulldogs, he never played a single down for them. Now, with the transfer portal once again as his stage, Rashada is plotting his next move.
The young quarterback aimed to compete for the starting position following the departure of Carson Beck. However, circumstances didn’t play out in his favor. Gunner Stockton held onto the second-string quarterback position behind Beck. When Rashada briefly moved up to second-string due to Beck’s absence, freshman Ryan Puglisi stepped in and claimed the backup role during the bowl season after Beck’s injury in the SEC championship game against Texas.
Currently, Rashada stands as the top-ranked quarterback available in the transfer portal, according to 247Sports.
