Auburn is making moves in the transfer market in a significant way. Keyshawn Hall, a standout transfer from UCF and ranked as the No. 10 transfer by 247Sports, has just committed to Auburn.
Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 235 pounds, Hall is a forward from Cleveland, Ohio. During the 2024-25 season at UCF, he started in 33 games, averaging an impressive 18.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. His shooting percentages were equally strong, with 42.7% from the field and 35.4% from beyond the arc.
“Holding the top scoring spot in the Big 12, Hall is a 6-foot-7 forward who relentlessly scores. He nailed over 35% from the three-point line and emerged as one of the most formidable drivers, averaging 0.96 points per possession at the high-major level,” says Isaac Trotter, a college basketball analyst for 247Sports and CBS Sports. “He managed to draw 6.7 fouls per 40 minutes—ranking second in Big 12 play—and maintained over 81% accuracy from the free throw line. In transition, he’s outstanding, and in the halfcourt, he’s got a knack for scoring. He thrives in numerous roles, whether it’s as a scorer, running ball screens, or spacing the floor to exploit mismatches.”
There are, however, some concerns. “Hall hasn’t been part of a solid defensive team so far, and there’s a question of whether he’d adjust to a reduced role, but when it comes to scoring, he can put up 25 points without a problem.”
Since entering the transfer portal on March 28, Hall has attracted attention from almost every major program. He shared with 247Sports that he wouldn’t be engaging in any official visits but would rather conduct Zoom meetings with interested teams while also exploring his draft prospects.
After virtual discussions with Kansas, Auburn, Arkansas, and LSU, he ultimately decided on Auburn.
In the 2024-25 season, Hall earned a spot on the All-Big 12 second team, leading the conference in scoring and ranking in the top ten for rebounds. One of his standout performances included a 40-point game against Arizona State. Throughout the season, he scored over 20 points in 16 games, solidifying his reputation as one of the leading prospects in both the Big 12 and nationwide.
This decision marks Hall’s fourth transfer in as many years. From an unranked high school player, Hall initially signed with UNLV, where he played 18 games without starting. He then moved to George Mason for his sophomore year in 2023-24, where he started 28 out of 29 games, averaging 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds, which set the stage for his transition to UCF and the Power Five.
Now, Hall adds his talents to an Auburn roster gearing up for a run at the 2025 National Championship. They are preparing for an intense matchup against Florida in the Final Four after a remarkable season where they notched a 32-5 record and claimed the SEC regular-season title.
