There’s been plenty of buzz lately, but until now, it was based on whispers and unconfirmed reports. All of that changed on Sunday when Tiger Woods took to social media to share some personal news.
In an announcement posted across his social media channels, the legendary golfer confirmed he’s in a relationship with Vanessa Trump, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr.
“Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!” Woods declared in the post, which included two snapshots of the couple. “We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time, we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
His message laid to rest speculation that’s been circulating since mid-February. That’s when Woods and Vanessa were spotted together at the Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines, accompanied by her daughter Kai. Kai is one of five kids Vanessa shares with Trump Jr. from their 12-year marriage.
Interestingly, Kai Trump studies at the Benjamin School, an exclusive day school in Palm Beach, Florida. It’s the same school where Woods’ own children, Sam and Charlie, are enrolled.
Woods’ personal revelation comes while he’s navigating a quiet professional phase. On March 11, he disclosed he had torn his left Achilles tendon during home training and practice sessions. Though the injury has been surgically repaired, there’s still no word on when he’ll be hitting the course again.
