This week in golf offers an interesting lineup as both the PGA TOUR and LIV events are set to take place.
First up, let’s take a closer look at the PGA TOUR. They’re gearing up for The Players Championship, often called the “Fifth Major” by many in the golf community. Scottie Scheffler will be back to defend his title. If you’re curious about past champions of this prestigious event, you might want to check out the full list.
As for the DP World Tour – also known as the European Tour – they’re taking a short break this week. Their schedule resumes in a few days with the Singapore Classic at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club, where Jesper Svensson will be defending his victory from last year.
The LPGA is also on pause until the end of the month when the Ford Championship kicks off at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona. It will be exciting to see if Nely Korda can replicate her success as the reigning champ.
Similarly, the PGA TOUR Champions are taking it easy for now. They’ll next be seen in action at The Hoag Classic in Newport Beach, California, later this month.
Moving on to the Korn Ferry Tour, they’re enjoying a little downtime too, with their next competition being the Club Car Championship in Savannah, Georgia, in April.
The PGA TOUR Americas, on the other hand, is gearing up for its first event of the season, the 93rd Abierto del Centro in Cordoba, Argentina, scheduled for the end of this month.
The APGA, known for promoting diversity and inclusion in golf, is currently on a break. LIV Golf is making its way to Singapore for some thrilling action. Meanwhile, the TGL League is letting players rest up before their playoffs commence on March 17.
