The Toronto Raptors have decided to let go of PJ Tucker. Initially, Tucker moved from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Utah Jazz just before the trade deadline, and on the same day, he found himself heading to the Raptors.
During the previous season, Tucker didn’t play for the Clippers from November until February, and he hasn’t been part of the team this entire season. As he approaches his 40th birthday in May, Tucker now becomes available in the buyout market as playoff eligibility rules allow.
Tucker had inked a deal with the Sixers back in 2022 on the midlevel exception. Given that his salary for the upcoming 24-25 season falls below the current midlevel, he’s free to join any NBA team, except for the Jazz.
