In a significant change for Head North America, Kevin Kempin is set to step down from his role as the CEO of Head Racquet Sports North America on July 1st. This announcement marks the end of an impressive 32-year journey with the company.
Throughout his career at Head, Kempin rose through the ranks, making notable strides in high-level sales and marketing before taking the helm as CEO and President of HEAD USA in 2009. Reflecting on his tenure, Kempin stated, “July 1 will mark my 32nd anniversary with HEAD North America. It’s the right moment for me to embark on the next chapter of my life. Working with such remarkable individuals at Head and within the Racquet Sports Industry has been the highest honor and privilege.”
He assured that he would stay actively involved over the next few months to ensure a seamless transition for his successor.
Stepping into Kempin’s shoes is Jeff Bardsley, who is well-prepared for the role. With a robust resume that includes 32 years with HEAD—27 of those years at HEAD Canada and the last five-plus years as Vice President of Racquet Sports Marketing for North America—Bardsley seems more than ready. Kempin expressed his confidence in Bardsley, saying, “Jeff is set to be an exceptional leader in the crucial North American market. His deep understanding of our U.S. and Canadian business, coupled with his unique expertise, makes him a perfect fit for this position.”
Bardsley himself is looking forward to the new role, stating, “I am eager to take on the challenges that lie ahead. It is an honor and a privilege to continue the strong legacy Kevin is passing on, and I’m fortunate to be building on such a solid business foundation with our outstanding teams.”
