It’s that time of the year again, known to golf enthusiasts as Masters week. You probably know what’s coming next: an abundance of Masters-themed merchandise. Now, no one’s going to outright name it “Masters” because of trademark issues, but when you catch wind of terms like “season opener” or “azalea collection,” it’s pretty clear what’s being discussed.
This brings us to TaylorMade’s 2025 Season Opener Collection, a tribute that’s become something of a tradition for them.
Although TaylorMade hasn’t ventured too far into the territory of themed limited edition clubs, they are rolling out a variety of headcovers, golf balls, and a staff bag.
Now, let’s talk about that staff bag priced at a steep $600. While it might be considered impractical by some, if you’re the type to collect Augusta memorabilia or make bold statements on the golf course, this might just be your cup of tea.
The azalea-inspired headcovers are available for your driver, fairway wood, hybrid, as well as both mallet and blade putters. They certainly add a splash of color to your equipment.
And then there are the azalea-themed versions of TaylorMade’s TP5 Stripe and TP5x Stripe golf balls. Ditching the usual black stripe on the standard TP5, this time they’ve adorned it with a ring of azaleas. Honestly, it’s probably the most striking use of their stripe design yet.
The packaging is themed to fit the occasion, with the sleeves receiving particular praise for their thoughtful design.
The TaylorMade Season Opener Collection is available for purchase now, but I’d suggest acting quickly because these items are likely to fly off the shelves.
