Luke Loucks has announced to the Sacramento Kings that he’s taking on a new challenge, becoming the head coach at Florida State. Loucks has a strong connection to Florida State, having played there during his college days, and brings a wealth of NBA experience to his alma mater. He began his coaching journey in the NBA back in 2017 and spent several years with the Golden State Warriors before moving to the Kings with Mike Brown in 2022.
He’s stepping into the shoes of Leonard Hamilton, the long-time head coach at Florida State, who recently made the decision to retire. Hamilton was not only an influential mentor to Loucks during his time as a player but also left an indelible mark on the program. Now, Loucks is set to lead the team into a new era, building on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
