According to sources cited by Marc Stein of The Stein Line, Luka Doncic was quite taken aback by how swiftly the Los Angeles Lakers moved to attempt a trade for Mark Williams.
Before the initial announcement of the Williams deal, Doncic had expressed to Rob Pelinka his interest in having a teammate with strong lob skills.
As it stands, the Hornets haven’t lodged an official complaint against the Lakers for backing out of the trade. Surprisingly, Doncic doesn’t seem upset about the Lakers stepping away from the agreement.
Meanwhile, Williams has still not made his way back to the Hornets following the cancellation of the trade.
