LeBron James might just suit up for the Lakers on Saturday night against the Chicago Bulls. However, it’s still up in the air, according to Dave McMenamin from ESPN. James has been sidelined since March 8 due to a nagging groin strain.
McMenamin explained that while LeBron is marked as questionable, he will be hitting the court for warm-ups, and the final call will be made at game time. Last Sunday, LeBron started his workouts on the court, with Shams Charania of ESPN noting that the team intends to bring him back gradually to avoid any setbacks.
James has been a powerhouse this season, posting averages of 25 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game, while making about 52% of his shots from the field, including 38% from the three-point line. Before his injury, he had been consistently scoring, hitting at least 25 points in eight out of his last 10 games. Meanwhile, the Lakers managed to secure eight wins in a row before falling to Boston on March 8.
As it stands, the Lakers have a solid 43-26 record, placing them third in the highly competitive Western Conference.
