George Kambosos Jr is stepping back into the ring today, making his debut in the 140-pound division on Australian soil. He’s up against Jake Wyllie in a last-minute change for the main event on DAZN.
It’s been a solid ten months since Kambosos last fought, following his bout with Vasiliy Lomachenko in Perth. Now, he’s ready to lace up his gloves in Sydney. Originally, he was slated to fight Daud Yordan. However, he’ll now face off against Wyllie, who is younger and holds a promising record. Interestingly, Wyllie is a natural in the super lightweight category, unlike Yordan, potentially making him a more formidable foe. The undercard promises excitement too, featuring Skye Nicolson defending her WBC featherweight title against Tiara Brown, the rematch between Cherneka Johnson and Nina Hughes for the WBA bantamweight title, the comeback of Teremoana Junior, and much more!
