This month marks a significant transition for Jody Eggington as he prepares to step down from his role as the technical director of Red Bull’s Racing Bulls. With nearly two decades dedicated to the intricacies of Formula 1, the 51-year-old Briton is ready to embrace a new challenge. He’ll soon take on the position of engineering director at Red Bull’s Advanced Technologies division.
As Eggington moves on, Racing Bulls won’t be left in the lurch. The responsibilities at the technical helm will be juggled between Tim Goss, the chief technical officer, and deputy technical directors Guillaume Cattelani and Andrea Landi.
Reflecting on his decision, Eggington shared, “After nearly 20 years intensely focused on Formula 1, it’s time for a shift. I’m thrilled to be stepping into a new role with Red Bull Advanced Technologies, a company buzzing with exciting projects.”
Tim Goss, who brought his expertise to Racing Bulls in January 2024, previously served as the technical director at McLaren, adding another layer of seasoned leadership to the team during this transition.
