Jalen Brunson, the New York Knicks’ point guard, has been sidelined since March 6 due to an ankle sprain. However, there’s good news for Knicks fans as Brunson is gradually working his way back, aiming to return to the court soon.
Speaking to the press on Sunday, Brunson shared that he’s “feeling better,” although he didn’t commit to a specific return date just yet. The encouraging part is that he’s been given the green light to engage in basketball activities once more.
Brunson expressed his desire to get back on the court before the regular season wraps up on April 13. Nonetheless, he’s prioritizing being fully fit and ready for the playoffs, which kick off in three weeks.
During Brunson’s absence in the 11 games this month, the Knicks have managed a 6-5 record. With a top-six seed already secured and an automatic playoff berth in their pocket, New York can climb to no higher than the third spot in the Eastern Conference standings.
