The Atlanta Hawks have recently inked a multi-year deal with forward Dominick Barlow, reinforcing their lineup with his versatile skills.
Barlow joined the Hawks on a two-way contract on July 30, 2024. Since then, he’s hit the court in 19 games, making three starts during this season. With averages of 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in just over 8 minutes per game, Barlow’s quick plays have included two double-digit scoring performances: one against Toronto on January 23 and another in Indiana on February 1. Notably, on February 5, he managed to tie his career record by blocking three shots in a game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Standing at 6 feet 10 inches, Barlow has also been a standout in the NBA G League, where he played 18 games for the College Park Skyhawks, starting each one. There, he put up impressive numbers, averaging 20.0 points, 8.4 rebounds, along with 1.8 assists and 1.3 blocks over 32.5 minutes per game. His debut on November 8 was a memorable one, racking up 23 points, 8 rebounds, a single assist, and an impressive 5 blocks—a Skyhawks debut record.
Barlow went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft but has carved out a solid professional career. Over three NBA seasons, he played in 81 games, starting four, with stints at the San Antonio Spurs (2022-24) and now Atlanta Hawks (2024-25). Throughout, he’s averaged 3.9 points and 3.0 rebounds within 12.1 minutes per game. Additionally, his NBA G League track record is noteworthy, with solid performance metrics—17.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 blocks over an average of 30 minutes in 71 games, most of which he started.
Before leaping to the NBA, Barlow showcased his talent in the Overtime Elite League during the 2021-22 season with Team Overtime. There, he delivered an average of 14.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 25.2 minutes. He made a significant mark as the first Overtime Elite player to debut in an NBA game, stepping onto the court against the Toronto Raptors on November 2, 2022.
