Over the last few seasons, Lamar Jackson, the standout quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens, has consistently thrilled NFL fans with his remarkable versatility on the field. Known for his electrifying play, Jackson has also faced criticism for not yet leading the Ravens to a major victory that solidifies them as top contenders.
This season, despite the Ravens’ disappointing early playoff exit, there was a significant boost with the addition of running back Derrick Henry. Henry delivered an exceptional performance throughout the season, helping elevate the team’s dynamics.
Henry, who clearly enjoyed the partnership, recently offered high praise for Jackson, a two-time NFL MVP. In a conversation with Micah Parsons shared by B/R Gridiron, Henry didn’t hold back his admiration, stating, “He’s one of one for sure. As a person and a player, he’s just different.”
Topping off an impressive season, Henry amassed 1,921 rushing yards and shared the NFL lead with 16 rushing touchdowns. His stellar performance earned him a fifth Pro Bowl nod and nearly snagged him the title of Offensive Player of the Year. Henry’s feats this season brought back memories of 2020 when he was among the elite few to surpass 2,000 rushing yards, topping the league with 17 rushing touchdowns.
On the other side, Jackson had arguably his best season yet in 2024, recording 4,172 passing yards, 41 passing touchdowns, and 915 rushing yards. In a close MVP race, he narrowly missed the top spot to Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.
Although the Ravens faced a bitter defeat against the Bills in the divisional playoff round, their prospects for next season look promising. With their current lineup, they have the potential to reemerge as formidable contenders for the Super Bowl.
