An email from UCF, intended for some season ticket holders, has sparked some confusion, but thankfully, the issue has been addressed. According to the Orlando Sentinel, there was a mix-up in communication, leading some fans to mistakenly believe they wouldn’t be able to relocate their seats for the 2025 season. However, Terry Mohajir, the athletic director at UCF, is reassuring everyone that no season ticket holder will lose their seats in the upcoming season.
The original email had been directed at fans who seemed to be purchasing tickets only to resell them, a practice the university wants to discourage in favor of genuine fan attendance. Unfortunately, the message reached 600 accounts, many of which were inaccurately flagged as ticket resellers.
Mohajir expressed regret, stating, “Dear Knight Nation, I want to acknowledge that we missed the mark yesterday in clearly communicating with some season ticket holders. The email was intended to reach only those accounts who purchase season tickets with the sole intent to resell. Unfortunately, the email went to 600 accounts, some of which were misidentified as ticket brokers.”
He continued, “For those of you who received the email from our ticket office, I apologize for any confusion it has caused. To be clear, no season ticket holder is losing their seats or discounts. Our intent is to prioritize dedicated fans by offering upgrade opportunities to those who actively use their tickets before potential brokers, while also accommodating as many fans as possible from our 2,500-seat waitlist. As the stadium evolves, we want UCF fans in our best seats.”
With this clarification, fans can now look forward to the 2025 season. UCF is eager to improve from their 4-8 record last year and recapture the momentum they previously had. Before the 2024 season, they enjoyed an impressive streak of eight consecutive bowl appearances, including standout performances in the 2018 Fiesta Bowl and the 2017 Peach Bowl.
The focus is shifting back to the thrill of the upcoming games, as UCF gears up to make a major comeback.
