Guilherme “Bomba” Vasconcelos tragically took his own life.
In October, the MMA community was stunned by the news of the passing of the 38-year-old fighter, known for his stints in UFC and Bellator. At first, the details surrounding his death were unclear, but recent updates from TMZ Sports have confirmed it was a suicide, according to the authorities.
TMZ, having acquired the case report, revealed that Vasconcelos was discovered in the garage of a home in Illinois. No suicide note was found at the scene, and the toxicology report indicated only the presence of caffeine.
Bomba embarked on his mixed martial arts journey in 2012. By 2014, he was part of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3. Although he faced a setback with a loss to Ricardo Abreu, he managed to secure a spot in the UFC, fighting once against Luke Zachrich. Afterward, he competed six times in Bellator before retiring in 2019. Beyond the fighting arena, he garnered attention by dating pop star Demi Lovato in 2017.
