Every April, like clockwork, my inbox overflows with gear themed around the Masters Tournament. Depending on your perspective, this can either be a welcome sight or a pesky nuisance.
Regardless of your feelings, it always strikes me how similar all this merchandise tends to look. It’s a sea of bold greens, radiant yellows, and quite a bit of magenta.
My tastes lean toward designs that show a little more thoughtfulness and subtlety. So, when the latest offering from Under Armour, dubbed “Going for the Green,” showed up in my emails, I was genuinely impressed.
I invite you to take a closer look at the collection. Isn’t it stunning? It exudes elegance and a bit of playfulness without going overboard.
Did you catch the clever touch? At first glance, it might just seem like an array of azalea flowers. But if you look closer, you’ll see small golfing gnomes peeking from behind the floral displays.
This understated detail is what makes the collection stand out. There’s none of that loud pattern business or in-your-face mascot imagery. Instead, the Under Armour line quietly channels the Georgia vibe all the way, without being overwhelming.
For these reasons, the Going for the Green collection is at the top of my list for this year’s Masters (not to brag, but maybe I’ll catch you there!)
Under Armour’s Going for the Green collection, which includes the highly praised Drive Pro golf shoe, is now available for purchase.
