In-state recruiting… oh boy, it’s like the everyday scramble for the last slice of pizza—everyone thinks they deserve it, but only one person gets the actual pepperoni goodness. BYU, bless ’em, finds itself right in the thick of that frenzy. Utah might not scream “football mecca” to the untrained eye, but those who know, know. Talent is spilling out of there like your mom’s overstuffed lasagna, and schools are ready with forks in hand. BYU, with its shiny, sometimes-useful-like-a-fancy-toaster religious card (think Notre Dame-style), has its paws in this messy pie.
Thursday, though, was more like a BYU holiday—if schools had holidays, that is. Coach Kalani Sitake must have been doing a little jig in his office, probably knocking over a lamp or two, because they nabbed Bott Mulitalo. If you don’t know him, he’s this hotshot from American Fork, Utah, destined to be the knight in shining pads for the 2025 class. Score one for the Cougars. They’re probably engraving his name in gold somewhere already. Or maybe just a sticky note—it’s early yet.
