A judge has cleared Nate Diaz of any misdemeanor battery charges related to an alleged September 2024 incident near a Las Vegas nightclub. This comes after court records showed the dismissal of all charges against the fighter, as confirmed by Diaz’s representatives to MMA Fighting.
The incident in question took place outside the Omnia nightclub at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Diaz and his entourage had reportedly stalled the line, prompting a security guard to intervene. The situation escalated physically when Diaz supposedly pushed the guard, who then retaliated. The altercation reportedly ended with Diaz striking the guard across the face with an open hand.
In September, a video surfaced showing Diaz shoving a man away by the face, which sent the man’s glasses flying. The footage also captured Diaz raising his hands defensively while others intervened to calm things down. Before law enforcement could arrive on the scene, Diaz had already left the area.
With the dismissal of the charges, Diaz avoids any legal repercussions for the August incident. At 39, Diaz last appeared in a boxing ring in July 2024, where he won a decisive victory against Jorge Masvidal in California. Recently, Diaz has hinted at a possible UFC return, though he expressed some disinterest in the current lineup of fighters, saying, “there’s nobody doing shit in the UFC.”
