This week has been quite an eventful one for LSU football, with two new wide receiver commitments bolstering their 2026 class, which now stands at the top of the national rankings.
First, top-ranked wide receiver Tristen Keys shared the exciting news of his commitment on Wednesday. Just a few days later, on Saturday, four-star recruit Jabari Mack followed suit with his own announcement.
These two impressive talents will be joining the ranks with Jakai Anderson, head coach Brian Kelly’s first recruit for the 2026 class, and Kenny Darby, who is ranked as the No. 24 wide receiver. Remarkably, all four players have secured spots within the top 50 for their position.
The addition of Keys and Mack propelled the Tigers ahead of strong contenders like USC and Oregon in the national rankings for the 2026 classes, according to On3’s Industry Rankings. Texas A&M and Auburn complete the top five list.
Let’s take a closer look at LSU’s four wide receiver commitments for the 2026 class:
Tristen Keys, Five-Star
Leading the pack is Tristen Keys, the cream of the crop in the 2026 wide receiver lineup. He opted to pledge his talents to LSU, surpassing interest from Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas A&M in his decision made public on Wednesday.
Hailing from Hattiesburg, MS, this six-foot-two, 185-pound junior boasts an impressive record: 1,275 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, which fueled his team’s deep playoff journey. On3 scouts have highlighted his knack for excelling in contested catch situations as well as his vertical prowess and aerial control.
Jabari Mack, Four-Star
The latest to join the lineup is Jabari Mack, who confirmed his commitment on Saturday. The native of New Orleans chose to remain close to home, selecting LSU over Texas, Texas A&M, and Ohio State.
Standing six feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, Mack is ranked as the No. 11 wide receiver and fifth in Louisiana among prospects. He honed his skills at Destrehan High School, where he played alongside 2025 LSU signee Phillip Wright III.
Kenny Darby, Four-Star
Kenny Darby, a product of Bossier City, LA, declared his commitment to LSU in November 2024 and solidified it in January. He is currently ranked as Louisiana’s No. 7 prospect and holds the No. 24 spot for wide receivers.
Darby, who is six feet tall and weighs 175 pounds, has made his mark at Airline High School by leading Louisiana as a junior with 100 catches for 1,764 yards and 24 touchdowns. He is expected to continue his development as he prepares for his senior season before making his way to Baton Rouge in January.
Jakai Anderson, Four-Star
Jakai Anderson was the trailblazer for LSU’s 2026 class, becoming the first commit in June 2024. His decision was cemented after just two visits to the campus, leading him to choose his home state school.
Originally from New Orleans, Anderson stands six feet tall and weighs 160 pounds. On3’s scouts have praised his exceptional fluidity and burst of speed, which allows him to outpace defenders effectively. Attending McDonogh High School, Anderson earned All-State recognition as a junior and has set the pace for a Louisiana-heavy 2026 class with one of seven commitments from the state.
