The Chicago Bulls recently brought guard Jahmir Young on board with a two-way contract, while also waiving center Adama Sanogo from the team.
Jahmir Young, standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 185 pounds, has been turning heads this 2024-25 season with the Grand Rapids Gold, the G League affiliate of the Denver Nuggets. Over the course of 30 games, starting in 24 of them, he’s been racking up impressive stats: 22.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 2.1 steals per game, averaging 34.5 minutes on the court during both the regular season and the Tip-Off Tournament. Originating from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Young’s collegiate career spans The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2019-2022) and the University of Maryland (2022-2024). His time with the Charlotte 49ers was marked by earning the Conference USA Rookie of the Year and notable all-conference selections, including a spot on the All-CUSA First Team both his sophomore and junior years.
While at Maryland, Jahmir’s skillset continued to shine as he averaged 18 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals over 67 games, all of which he started. His efforts landed him on the All-Big Ten Second Team as chosen by coaches in back-to-back years, along with a media-voted All-Big First Team selection in the 2023-24 season.
Regarding Adama Sanogo, he participated in 13 games with the Bulls across the past two seasons, from 2023 to 2025, managing to average 3.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in roughly 6.7 minutes each game. During his time with Windy City in the regular season, he maintained his form, achieving 20.4 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks across 40 games, 39 of which he started, while playing an average of 29.4 minutes per game.
