The whirlwind season of hiring and firing in the world of FBS coaching has arrived once again, filled with rumors and speculation. Each year, between 500 and 600 coaching changes occur within the FBS.
The last season was particularly noteworthy. A third of all head coaches switched roles, marking a historic shift with 31 new head coaches coming on board. According to research from 247Sports, a total of 529 coaches across 134 FBS teams found themselves in new positions during the 2023-24 season.
