I remember the initial occurrence like it was yesterday. Naturally, the last thing anyone wants is to go through surgery, so we pulled out all the stops to keep me on my feet for as long as we could. Ultimately, though, surgery became necessary. Looking back, it was the right decision for my well-being. That first operation went relatively smoothly, and the rehabilitation process was fairly decent; the overall feeling wasn’t too bad. However, I started experiencing some symptoms that reminded me all too much of what I’d felt before. Another scan revealed another herniated area, leading to a second surgery. The transformation after that second procedure was remarkable; it was as if I was living in two different worlds compared to the first time. Moving around each day felt significantly better after I recovered.
