Nate Diaz, once a powerhouse in the UFC, remains a beloved figure in the world of mixed martial arts. Though he stepped away from the UFC in 2022, he’s far from calling it quits.
In a candid chat posted on the Full Violence YouTube channel, Diaz expressed, “My legacy? I’m not ready to close that chapter just yet.” He continued, reflecting on his career, “I feel like the impact I’ve made is underrated. Sure, Conor McGregor and my brother have left their marks, but those contributions often get overlooked. If you’re not getting the credit you deserve from the start, why not just keep pushing? That’s exactly why I aim to keep fighting indefinitely.”
Diaz boasts a professional MMA record of 21 wins and 13 losses and has tried his hand in boxing too. While he faced a loss to Jake Paul in 2023, he bounced back with a victory over Jorge Masvidal in 2024.
Discussing today’s fight scene, Diaz remarked, “Things are a bit dull right now, so I’m exploring other opportunities. But, I have a burning desire to reclaim a UFC title. I’m not interested in fighting for no reason. It’s all about who’s creating a buzz and making waves. At the moment, nothing intriguing is happening in the UFC.”
The passion Diaz carries for the sport and his ambition to persist is evident, as he clearly wants more than just a fleeting return. He’s on a quest for something meaningful, ready to reignite the octagon with his undeniable flair.
